(WWD Fashion) This is pretty shocking! Apparently Kate will direct “Lost Girls & Love Hotels“, the movie adaptation of Catherine Hanrahan’s novel. Kate herself confirmed it at this year’s Paris Fashion Show. Thanks to reckoner for the heads up.
Kate Bosworth, meanwhile, said she’s planning to direct a film set in Tokyo called “Lost Girls and Love Hotels” based on a book she optioned a few years ago.
“We just finished writing the script,” she said. Bosworth, in town with her boyfriend James Rousseau, took in the Jeff Koons exhibition at Versailles — and was dazzled.
“It strangely worked. It gave it a whole new dimension,” she enthused.
October 17, 2008 • “After.Life”: Liam Neeson In, Kate Bosworth Out
(The Hollywood Reporter) Bad news for everyone expecting to see Kate in the psycological thriller “After.Life”. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed today that Liam Neeson has joined the cast and that Christina Ricci will replace Kate in the lead role. C’est la vie!
Writer-director Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo’s feature debut centers on a young woman (Ricci) caught between life and death. A funeral director (Neeson) appears to have the gift of transitioning the dead, but may be intent on burying her alive.
LLeju Prods.’ Bill Perkins and Plum Pictures are producing the psychological thriller, and Perkins is financing. ICM, which reps Ricci and the helmer, packaged and secured financing for the film.
Ricci signed last month to replace the originally attached Kate Bosworth in the lead. Shooting begins next month in New York.
Perkins, Plum’s Celine Rattray and Constellation Entertainment’s Brad Gilbert will produce. Galt Niederhoffer and Pam Hirsch of Plum and Edwin Marshall and James Swisher of Harbor Light Entertainment will exec produce.

(AceShowBiz.com) Actress Christina Ricci will star on Kate’s upcoming horror movie “After.Life“. I don’t really know how I feel about this news to be honest. I really hope they don’t replace Kate with Christina because I’m really looking forward to watching this movie.
A word from an insider reveals that Emmy Award-nominated actress Christina Ricci will star on Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo’s “After.Life”. No statement is available to answer the question whether Christina will replace the role of the previously-announced cast, Kate Bosworth or play along side her.
“After.Life” is a horror movie which chronicles a young woman in a transitional state between life and death who fights to avoid being buried alive while also concerns a funeral director who holds her fate in his hands. The film will reportedly begin its shooting sessions on November 10 in the Big Apple. Unfortunately, no word yet on when the movie will make its theater debut.

(Ifensi.com) Too bad we won’t see any more of Kate this year. According to Ifensi.com, Kate’s latest movie “Laundry Warrior” won’t be released until early 2009 because the release slots for movies for the end of this year in the US are full already.

The film will be released in March 2009 in time for starting the summer season.
It is about an Asian Warrior who has crossed the seas and arrived in the wild West of the U.S where his adventure begins.
